THE OBJECTIVES OF SCIENCE CLUB:

1. To develop a general interest in science.

2. To inculcate scientific attitude and provide opportunities for training.

3. To develop interest in scientific hobbies.

4. To develop habits of exploration and creative faculties.

5. To encourage individual and group activities.

6. To develop in children a healthy competition.

7. To make the students and public science minded

8. To stimulate active participation and initiative among students in learning process.

9. To keep the students in touch with the recent advances in science.

10. To provide challenging opportunities to the gifted.

ECO CLUB

Eco Clubs play an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation.

The activities under the scheme include:

  1. Motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees.
  2. Promote ethos of conservation of water by minimizing the use of water.
  3. Motivate students to imbibe habits and life style for minimum waste generation.
  4. Educate students to create awareness amongst public and sanitary workers, so as to stop the indiscriminate burning of waste which causes respiratory diseases.
  5. Sensitize the students to minimize the use of plastic bags, not to throw them in public places as they choke drains and sewers, cause water logging and provide breeding ground for mosquitoes.
  6. Organize tree plantation programs, awareness programs such as Quiz, essay, painting competitions, rallies, etc. regarding various environmental issues.

POCSO COMMITTEE

The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, (POCSO Act)

What is POCSO committee?

To safeguard the interests of the learners, a POCSO Committee is set up under the provisions of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence. The Committee works towards safeguarding the learners from the challenges they face in their formative years at school.
