1. Students should arrive at the school before the assembly. No one who has been absent (or Late) may

  be admitted to the class without an admittance note from the Principal’s Office, which a student needs

  to obtain before the assembly.

 

  1. 2. School premises are to be kept clean. Litter or rubbish is to be disposed in bins provided for the

  purpose.

 

  1. 3. A student who is not properly dressed in the school uniform will not be permitted to the assembly or

  to  the classes.  

  

  1. 4. Silence within the classroom is mandatory. While coming out from class rooms special care must be

  taken not  to disturb other classes in progress.

 

  1. 5. In the absence of the teacher, the Class Captains are responsible for the order and discipline of the

  class, In  the event of a teacher being unduly late (more than five minutes) the class captain in charge is

   to inform the School Office.  

 

6.In case of accidents, students requiring medical attention are to be promptly taken to the School

  Office.

 

  1. 7. P T. and Games are compulsory in the school. Those who are injured or sick should take exemption

  from  the Principal.

 

  1. 8. English will be spoken all times in the school premises. Besides the school authorities and the

  teachers, it is also the duty of House and Class Captains to implement this rule in the school. They must

  inform the Principal  about a student who frequently and habitually breaks this rule.

 

  1. Books not prescribed for studies, magazines, newspapers or mp3 players should not be brought to the

  school. Any electronic gadgets of mobile phone, confiscated by the school authority will not be

  returned.

 

  1. Any kind of damage to the school property (even by accident) is to be made good at the cost of the

   responsible party. A class is responsible for all the properties of the classroom and any damage to the

   school  property is to be promptly reported to the class teacher or to the Principal.

 

 

  1. In the case of contagious disease a student must not come to the school without the usual clearance

   from  a doctor.

 

  1. Once a student comes to the school he/she will not be allowed to leave the school till all the classes

     are over, nor parents will be allowed to meet their wards.

 

  1. The intended withdrawal of a student should be make known to the Principal in writing by the

    person responsible for the pupil one month in advance or else one month’s fee will be charged, A fee

    of Rs. 100/- is charged for issuing a Transfer  Certificate.

 

  1. 14. It is recommended to purchase St. Arnold’s School note books. It will be sold on the day of the sale

    of books.

 

  1. 15. The school will not be responsible for anything lost by your ward while he/she is in the school.

 

  1. 16. The school does not approve students coming to school with ‘mehendi’ applied on their hands. Any

   sort of make-up or wearing bangles or “Kada” (except for Sikh boys) is not permitted by the school.

   Boys wearing ‘ear-  rings’ not allowed.

 

  1. 17. ‘The Rule- of-touch’ has to be maintained by every student while in the school, It means each one

  keeps  his/her space, one does not intrude into other’s space and touch the other or do any harm to

  the other  specially between boys and girls.

 

  1. A student shall bring only healthy food to the school. No one is allowed to bring junk food items like

  noodles, choumin, kurkure, lays, biscuits, cakes and chocolates. Bring only home -made and healthy

  food.  

 

SCHOOL TIMING:

The school year begins in the middle of March and continues till the end of February. Major holidays are given for about five weeks in the month of May and June, and ten days each for Puja and Christmas. 

 

There will be one break of half an hour for children to eat Tiffin and to relax. The school gates will be closed strictly at 7.40 am on regular days. Late comers will not be permitted to enter the school. Once a student enters the school compound he/she can leave the compound only after the classes are over.

SCHOOL UNIFORM:

Wearing the school uniform is obligatory. Each student should be present in the School in neat and clean uniform. Parents make sure that your child is provided with minimum two pairs of uniforms. Children are permitted to wear colorful dress on their birthdays.

SCHOOL ASSESMENT SYSTEM:  

The progress of the student is determined by means of regular class tests, Unit Test-1, Unit Test-2, Half-Yearly Exam, Unit Test-3, Unit Test-4 and Final Exam. Each subjects of Unit Test holds 20 full marks and 80 Marks for Half-Yearly and Annual Exam.

 

A report, showing results of tests and examinations, together with the statement regarding the conduct and progress of each pupil will be sent to the parents/guardians at the end of each term. The reason for absence from any examination including class test should be intimated to the Principal through the class teacher within three days of such absence. 

 

There will be Pre-Board Test for class 9 & 10. And Olympiad Exam Practice with NTSE (National Talent Search Exam) All our students are encouraged to attempt NTSE. There will be Reasoning Classes in summer to prepare our students for competitive exams.   Every child will be guided /motivated to work hard.
